Replicant Detection, a division of the police department with special authorities. The function of the department is to find and neutralize escaped replicants. Replicant Detection is a rather small and specialized division, surrounded by secrecy and hidden from the public. Replicant Detection and the Tyrell Corporation do not cooperate very well. Replicant Detection officers are popularly called blade runners.
